Jo's turns 21 this weekend! This year may not have turned out how we thought it would at the start of our anniversay year. It's been a tough few months and we're sad we can't raise a glass together, however we're still celebrating and looking back on what we have achieved together in our 20 years. 

During our 20th year, we’ve been speaking to people who have been supporting us over the years. Ted Tugwell has been fundraising for Jo’s for over six years with the goal of raising £200,000 after his wife sadly passed away from cervical cancer.

I was diagnosed with cervical cancer not long after Jo Maxwell passed away. My cancer was staged at 1b and I had a radical hysterectomy. Cancer is something that doesn’t ever leave you.

During our 20th year, we’re speaking to people who have been supporting us throughout the years. Marianne Wood is a Colposcopy Clinical Nurse Specialist in London. She also gives her time to our Helpline and Ask the Expert services.

Jenny Greenfield is a Practice Nurse Manager in East Sussex and has held many nursing and teaching roles in primary care since 1989. She has trained hundreds of nurses in cervical screening and women’s health.
