Having delivered incredible work during her tenure as CEO, Samantha Dixon has left Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust this month.
Sam has steered Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust through the latter half of the Covid-19 pandemic and on to many major achievements for the charity and, most importantly, the women and other people with a cervix that we support. This includes our biggest campaign ever for Cervical Cancer Prevention Week earlier this year, successfully advocating for the routine use of Avastin in NHS Wales and pembrolizumab for advanced cervical cancer patients in England and Scotland, and leading the development of a roadmap to see HPV-related cancers made a thing of the past as co-Chair of the HPV Coalition. Sam has also brought together the charity’s five year strategy which will help bring Jo’s closer to our vision of a day where cervical cancer is no more.
Sam will continue her work in advocating for women’s health equity following a well deserved break spent with her husband and two sons at home in Yorkshire. The whole Jo’s team and Board wish her the very best in her future successes.

Hearing how Jo’s has supported so many people has been the greatest honour of all, particularly during what is an incredibly tough time for small charities as we face so many uncertainties and challenges. It is with a heavy heart that I step away to focus on my own health and wellbeing but I know there are many more exciting opportunities for Jo’s in the future.”
